Choosing The Right Massage Chair
Choosing a massage chair is a lot easier than choosing a table. There are two models to choose from, the Ergo-Pro, and the Ergo Jr. desktop unit, and they are adjustable so one size fits all. The hardest choice you'll have to make will probably be color!
Choosing Your Chair Model:
An Ergo Jr. desktop unit is essentially the top half of a massage chair. It is designed to sit on a desk, table, counter or other convenient surface with the client seated in some type of chair that you provide. This is ideal for wheelchair bound clients. It is also a good choice for working in offices where there are plenty of tables and chairs to use. Another common use is in "massage bars" such as you often see in airports. The Stronglite Ergo Jr. is lightweight (only 6 pounds), and offers quick adjustment, easy transport and low cost.
When selecting a massage Chair the features to look for are ease of set-up and transport, comfort for the client, accessibility for the therapist and durability. Stronglite's Ergo-Pro Massage Chair offers all these features plus a unique removable knee rest feature designed to allow clients with sensitive knees to put their feet flat on the floor, the chair adjusts to make this position ergonomically correct for your client.
Choosing Your Chair Covering
Most manufacturers, including Stronglite, offer Levante vinyl as their standard chair covering. Levante has a solvent-based topcoat that provides an antibacterial covering that combats stains, abrasion, scuffing and burnishing. It is much more durable and easier to clean than vinyl with a water-based topcoat. The manufacturer of Levante assures us that they meet or exceed all applicable EPA standards and that they have a very thorough scrubber system that removes all solvent fumes from the air. For these reasons we recommend Levante over the water-based topcoat vinyl.
For the best protection against tears and punctures as well as a wonderful soft-to-the-touch feel we recommend our DuraTouch covering. This fabric is so soft your clients will sink right into your chair!
Choosing Your Chair Color
The hardest thing about choosing your chair covering is often selecting the color. Stronglite stocks 8 Levante colors, 1 DuraTouch and 2 Satin Touch colors with additional custom colors available for an additional charge. The colors shown on this site are only approximate. Choosing Your Stronglite Chair Options
